Our certifications
Our actions in terms of social and environmental responsibility are recognized by independent labels. From the quality of our working conditions to the responsible management of our resources, each certification reflects our desire to produce better, with complete transparency.

Our vision is one where creativity, human dignity, sustainability, and economic progress grow hand in hand.”

Environment
We have launched a strategy to reduce our environmental impact, built around three key pillars: limiting our discharge into water, soil, and air; managing waste treatment in-house; and reducing energy consumption.
Throughout the renovation of our production facilities and during the construction of our new site in Mauritius, we have consistently made environmentally responsible choices aimed at minimizing our footprint. Environmental protection remains a core focus, with particular attention given to lowering energy use and enhancing water treatment systems.
Since 2022, we have carried out an annual carbon footprint assessment to better understand and reduce our environmental impact. This analysis has led to a concrete action plan focused on minimizing emissions and improving our practices. A dedicated team is actively implementing this plan, reinforcing our commitment to a more sustainable and responsible future.

Eco-Design
Our in-house eco-design charter guides all of our creative teams in developing environmentally responsible, planet-friendly solutions. One example is our breakthrough innovation, the Ocean Brush, which is the most eco-responsible brush on the market. It is made from recycled materials and designed to minimize environmental impact throughout its entire lifecycle.
We also offer metal-free brushes, which further reduce our ecological footprint while maintaining the premium quality our brand is known for.
However, sustainability goes beyond materials. True eco-responsibility lies in the durability and longevity of our products.
Our makeup brushes are designed to last. They deliver exceptional performance and precision year after year, offering a long-lasting alternative to disposable beauty tools.

LOCAL ACTIONS
To support local and international artistic development, MAX SAUER is involved in some twenty non-profit associations and organizations.

Empowering Cancer Patients Through Beauty
Raphaël is proud to support Look Good Feel Better, the world’s leading charitable organization dedicated to providing aesthetic care for people affected by cancer. We donated 600 makeup brushes to the association and launched the first beauty workshop at the public hospital in Saint-Brieuc, home to our French manufacturing facility.

Bees at the Heart of Biodiversity
Since 2016, twelve beehives have been installed in our company gardens and on our rooftops. These hives are home to the Ouessant black bee, a unique native species from Brittany.
To raise awareness about biodiversity and foster a deeper connection to nature, we regularly organize workshops for our employees led by a professional beekeeper. These educational sessions offer insight into the fascinating world of bees and highlight the vital role they play in preserving our ecosystem.

Raphaël Sponsors Yann Quenet’s World Tour
Raphaël is proud to support Yann Quenet’s next maritime adventure by helping fund the equipment needed for his upcoming voyage.
Yann Quenet is an unconventional sailor from Saint-Brieuc, France, who successfully completed a solo circumnavigation aboard Le Baluchon, a four-meter sailboat he built himself. He recounts this remarkable journey in his book “Le tour du monde avec mon Baluchon”, published by Éditions du Cherche-Midi.
We support you from concept development through to production and delivery. Bringing your brush collection to life has never been easier.
