Ruben, Head of Production, Maintenance, Methods, and Industrialization
With a strong passion for industrial craftsmanship, I began my career in luxury watchmaking and high-end jewelry, where I spent ten years honing the precision of every component and perfecting attention to detail.
In 2017, I joined Max Sauer as Workshop Manager for ferrules, bringing my high standard of precision to the electroplating unit. Since 2021, I have managed the materials manufacturing workshops (ferrules, handles, lacquering, marking, and fiber) as well as maintenance, methods, and industrialization at the Mauritius site. This role demands strong leadership, as I believe that listening to and developing teams is just as critical as the performance we achieve together.
The challenges of working with wood, metal, and fibers each require different skill sets, but we’ve overcome them through collective commitment and an innovation-driven approach. Whether it’s implementing maintenance strategies, improving processes, or industrializing new products, every challenge presents an opportunity to learn and grow. The tangible results of these efforts fuel my passion to continuously improve our methods and ensure the company’s competitiveness.
What I love most about my work is transforming ideas into reality. Together with my team, we keep the company at the forefront of the market. I am motivated by the direct impact of our efforts on product quality and customer satisfaction.
Beyond my responsibilities, I make a point of staying closely connected with my teams. I firmly believe that sharing knowledge and collaborating leads to our greatest successes. My goal is to create an environment where every team member feels valued and engaged.
