Natacha, Product Development Consultant

My passion for beauty and aesthetics has shaped my entire professional journey. I began my career as an industry practitioner, but quickly gravitated towards roles in strategy and design. Over the years, I’ve held positions as a Product Manager and Marketing Manager for leading cosmetics and luxury brands, both in France and internationally.

In 2020, I returned to my home region of Brittany and came across a job posting that immediately caught my attention. It was a newly created position at Raphaël as a Marketing Officer. After two interviews, I stepped into the world of brush manufacturing in Saint-Brieuc.

It was truly magical to discover how a tool that had always accompanied me on photo shoots and fashion shows was actually made. From Paris to Los Angeles and New York, I had carried Raphaël brushes in my makeup kits for years, without ever knowing they were crafted in my own native region.

Max Sauer is a world of its own, where art and industry come together. We draw, paint, and create alongside some of the most renowned artists in the beauty industry, and I was immediately drawn to the unique balance between artisanal craftsmanship and large-scale production that defines our work.

Since joining the company, I’ve developed deep respect for this meticulous and highly technical craft. From shaping the handle and forming the ferrule to selecting just the right fiber springiness, every detail contributes to the performance of a brush.

Today, I test our clients’ brushes daily to help develop the most effective tools for applying their products. I also monitor trends in beauty and wellness, sharing key insights with our team to keep us ahead of the curve and competitive in a fast-moving market.

In many ways, my unconventional career path has come full circle. With firsthand experience in both artistry and strategy, I understand the expectations of makeup artists and I translate them into the development of exceptional, high-performance brushes.
